What I am working on at present.

Researching snd finishing the first draft of a biography of a naval surgeon and botanist who went with the explorer, John Franklin, on two expeditions to the Arctic to seek the northwest passage. He was fortunate not to be allowed by the navy to join Franklin on his last ill-fated expedition. Instead he became one of the most renowned botanists of the 19th century scientists and stood with the giants of that time, among them Darwin.

The pandemic slowed my writing up somewhat largely through my being unable to access research institutions but is now back on track and progressing well. The manuscript is being read by an independent reader at the moment and I am hoping to begin pitching at publishers.
